I eagerly anticipated the Switch 2 release, especially the Vibrant Visuals in handheld mode. Unfortunately, the current technical state falls well below expectations.
The following issues need urgent attention:
1. Severe Input Lag (Biggest Problem)
This is by far the most frustrating issue. The massive delay between inputs and on-screen reactions makes movement feel incredibly sluggish in both docked and handheld modes. Worst of all, this input delay becomes progressively worse as you increase the visual settings.
2. Poor Performance & Visual Trade-offs
Currently, Vibrant Visuals is only somewhat playable on pretty low settings, even in a brand-new world. The visual downgrade on these settings is very noticeable, yet you barely reach stable frame rates and the Input-lag is already very noticeable. Seeing how impressively the Switch 2 handles other demanding games, it is baffling that Minecraft still struggles this much.
3. Missing Mouse Support & 2GB Limit
It is very disappointing that a mouse mode is currently missing. Furthermore, keeping the outdated 2GB storage limit on this powerful new hardware is highly frustrating.
What needs to be done:
We urgently need proper optimization. A console capable of running Cyberpunk should easily handle Minecraft with full Vibrant Visuals. Finally, adding mouse support and removing the 2GB cap are essential steps forward.
Thank you for your work!
