Samsung Keyboard Case trackpad is treated as a touch input instead of mouse

I tried playing Minecraft on Samsung Tab with the Book Cover Keyboard case. The keyboard input worked similarly to a laptop, but the trackpad made the touch UI appear and acted strangely. It's like it was acting as a touch input even when I wasn't clicking instead of working properly as a mouse. This setup would be great to portably play with mouse and keyboard in more Android devices, but the inputs aren't being read as they should.
