Currently, facing an Evoker in the Bedrock Edition feels significantly less challenging and dynamic than in the Java Edition, due to notable differences in their AI, cooldowns, and attack behavior. To achieve full parity and provide a well-balanced challenge, the Bedrock Edition Evoker should be updated to match the Java Edition in the following areas: • Spell cooldowns: Reduce the Evoker’s spell cooldown in Bedrock from 6 seconds to 3 seconds—matching the Java Edition—which would make their attacks much more frequent and unpredictable. • Aggressive AI and Vex summoning: In the Java Edition, Evokers prioritize summoning Vexes almost immediately upon spotting a player, creating intense pressure. Bedrock Evokers should adopt this faster, more aggressive summoning logic, rather than focusing almost exclusively on the fangs that emerge from the ground. • Defensive/counter-attack reactions: In the Java Edition, if a player gets too close, the Evoker’s AI can bypass standard cooldowns to conjure two circular rings of fangs as a defensive reaction. Bedrock Evokers should incorporate this specific counter-attack behavior. • Movement speed: Adjust movement speed to be slightly faster and more responsive—similar to that of Evokers in the Java Edition—especially during village Raids. Implementing these mechanics in the Bedrock Edition would address a significant gap in combat parity, ensuring that Woodland Mansions and Raids truly become the high-stakes challenges they are meant to be.
