World Music Disks

This multiculturalism could also be expressed in music disks. Italian Opera, American Jazz, Brazilian Samba, Folk music from any part of the world, these could all be represented in dozens of new music disks. This would be a perfect way to learn about different cultures by experiencing them in a personal way. It would also be a great challenge for collectors to gather every type of music disk, and a way for builders to add musical ambience to their creations. And think of all the different record-sorting systems that redstoners could make. A culturally diverse variety of music disks, in addition to new contemporary styles of music themed around each new update, is something that could be a source of content in Minecraft for years, and a way to incorporate creative talent from all over the world. Minecraft gives exposure to specific styles of art people may not find in any other game, adding world music would continue that tradition.
