Let's make copper pickaxe useful

Hi Minecraft Team, I just started my first survival world and I am having a blast! I recently found my very first diamonds, but I realized my copper pickaxe couldn't mine them without destroying them. I love getting a ton of copper early on, but I really wish it was useful for the big moments in the game—like mining those diamonds! It would be awesome if copper tools had a slightly higher mining tier, or if there was a way to upgrade copper gear so we don't have to switch away from it just to harvest rare ores.
