When working with command blocks, long /execute chains, or complex command systems, the chat can quickly fill with the text displayed when exiting command blocks. Since this text looks similar to regular player messages, it becomes difficult to follow conversations while working.
Why this matters:
-
New players: A visual distinction would help them recognize command block text and distinguish it from messages written by players.
-
Advanced creators: Players could test and build complex command systems without losing track of ongoing conversations.
-
Admins and staff: It would be easier to notice player questions, reports, and requests for help while managing a world, Realm, or server.
Existing chat color settings do not fully solve this problem. Changing the general chat color affects multiple types of messages, while mention colors only help when someone mentions your username. Players often communicate without using mentions.
Proposed solution:
Add an option to customize the color of the text displayed in chat when exiting a command block, or introduce another visual distinction, such as a small icon, prefix, or separate text style.
This would make the chat easier to read and help players distinguish command block text from actual conversations, especially when working with long or complex command systems. It would be a useful quality-of-life improvement for both casual players and experienced creators.
