In fact, one of the reasons that have made Minecraft a very big game and beyond a game is that it is available on many different platforms, such as PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and 2, mobile devices and even more. I and my little brothers first met Minecraft at my friend's house, playing games on Nintendo Switch and then years later we got Switch too and got Minecraft on it. I later bought it on my laptop as well. This is definitely one of the things that make Minecraft special to children and teenagers, and also adults.
So recently, Mojang, or Microsoft or Xbox, has been putting effort particularly into Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Marketplace, and has concept of making Minecraft Xbox-exclusive and stop selling and updating it on all other platforms. Maybe this might increase money income for Microsoft and their companies, but this will obviously ruin Minecraft and its community. There's no reason to cut off a large and major part of Minecraft from community and make it less available, enjoyable, spreadable, and popular. Changing Minecraft Bedrock Edition from a fun and intriguing game to a paid place for advertising Marketplace contents. Of course, Marketplace contents are dedicated creation from pure creativity, imagination and so much efforts by great creators. They are amazing, and Marketplace being a place for many people to share their creation should be continued and will evolve along with the community.
However, it feels like they are changing unfortunately.
