I suggest adding Frozen Sand to Minecraft. It is sand that freezes in snowy conditions, becoming solid and no longer falling like regular sand. It can form in snowy areas or where snow falls on sand.
Melting: Frozen Sand has a sandy color with white and blue specks. A snow layer protects it from melting. If the snow melts, Frozen Sand remains frozen for a while, but prolonged heat turns it back into Sand. Mined Frozen Sand stays frozen in the inventory, even in hot biomes, but can melt when placed in the world.
Rare Water: When Frozen Sand melts, it rarely releases a tiny amount of water that spreads nearby and disappears shortly afterward.
Frozen Sandstone: This block naturally generates beneath Frozen Sand in snowy regions. It melts only after Frozen Sand, turning back into regular Sandstone.
Frosted Glass: Smelting Frozen Sand while frozen produces Frosted Glass; if it melts first, smelting produces regular Glass. Frosted Glass is milky white and light blue, passes light, and stays frosted permanently. Players inside can see outside clearly, but outsiders cannot see inside clearly. Its frosted side always faces outward and cannot be reoriented. Frosted Glass Panes are also available.
Frosted Glass reflects light, sound, and vibrations inward instead of letting them escape. It provides privacy for windows and bathrooms and prevents zombies from spotting villagers through it.
These blocks would add new environmental behavior and building possibilities.
