Online Multi-player couch co-op for switch

Please allow characters using the same profile to play online characters for local co-op. I want to play online sometimes with the same character but also be able to play with my kids with the same character. In order to do that with the switch my kids need an online account as well. We only have one account.

I have seen so many posts online about this. Yes couch coop is advertised but just doesn't work on the Nintendo switch. Either a full Nintendo account is required and another Microsoft account with a Nintendo subscription to sign in one of my children to play as guest like in Minecraft dungeons 1.
