To the Minecraft Bedrock team:
We're reaching out about a major issue—The Nether and The End in Bedrock Edition still have old, limited world heights, even after the Overworld got its big vertical expansion. Right now, players can build up to 384 blocks in the Overworld (from Y=-64 to Y=320), but the Nether is stuck with just 128 blocks, and the End with 256. This feels outdated and holds back technical builds, creative projects, and overall gameplay.
Expanding these dimensions—matching Overworld’s scale—would open up tons of possibilities. Builders and technical players could create deeper magma oceans in the Nether, sprawling cavern systems, and safe nether-roof projects. The End would finally allow for towering void cities, more layered floating islands, and dramatic mega-structures. Honestly, it’s time Bedrock achieves real parity with Java Edition, so everyone gets the same flexibility.
We know Bedrock needs to work smoothly on all devices, from phones to PCs. If it helps, make expanded vertical coordinates an optional toggle or experimental feature, so creators and map makers can choose what works best for them. With smart engine tweaks and chunk management, performance shouldn’t be an issue.
Community builders keep pushing limits in Minecraft, but those old height caps are holding us back. Updating the Nether and End would let Bedrock players fully express their creativity and match Java’s standards. Thanks for making Minecraft awesome let’s take Bedrock to the next level!
