Description:
Currently, crafting wooden stairs, fences, and gates in the Crafting Table wastes a lot of resources. To solve this and improve the building experience, Minecraft should introduce the Woodcutter Block—a wood variant of the Stonecutter.

1. The Woodcutter Block
- Functionality: Works exactly like the Stonecutter but for all wood types. It offers a 1:1 ratio for stairs and an easy-to-use UI for doors, trapdoors, etc.
- Appearance & Animation: It reuses the Stonecutter's model and its rotating saw animation, but features a brown, wooden base texture.
-
Crafting Recipe: A logical upgrade from the Crafting Table.
- Top row: 3 Iron Ingots (the saw blade)
- Middle row: 1 Log + 1 Crafting Table + 1 Log
- Bottom row: 3 Logs (reinforced base)
2. New Profession: The Lumberjack (Villager)
The Woodcutter will serve as the job site block for a new villager: the Lumberjack.
The Woodcutter will serve as the job site block for a new villager: the Lumberjack.
- Outfit: A classic cartoon-style look featuring a red plaid/flannel shirt pattern and a cozy wool beanie.
- Economy: Helps players cycle through leftover saplings and rewards forestry. They buy saplings and raw logs in exchange for Emeralds, and sell crafted wood items, and eventually enchanted axes at Master level.
3. Village Generation (Taiga Biome)
Lumberjacks should naturally spawn in Taiga villages. Their house would feature a rustic lumber yard in the backyard.
