Offline co players/ characters can’t progress without OG profile

In the first version of Minecraft Dungeons you’re able to play with someone else’s profile and progress your character without having to play with that persons profile character. Now with this version of Dungeons 2 you have to play the character associated with the profile. For example, if I started the game and played with 2 or 3 other people those people could select my profile to play with their characters without me playing. NOW if you select a profile you have to play that character. It would be nice to progress my character alone like in the first dungeons without having to play with the original person who started the game.
