more flying pets

what about adding some more options for pets and more creative idea? like for example taming bats with apples that can work just like parrots but attack mobs for you (with little bit of damage) and more impotently locate the mobs in the dark for you and not going to places with light level above 9 that could add a cool and special use for them or maybe an aquatic animal that you can tame or something from the sift or the nether.
