My Suggestion:
I suggest adding a new “Starting Dimension” option to the Create New World menu in Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition. This option would allow players to choose whether they want to start their Survival world in the Overworld or The Sift.
However, if players choose The Sift, they should still have access to the basic resources needed to survive without being forced to travel to the Overworld immediately.
For example, The Sift could have at least one type of wood or a unique tree that players can chop down to obtain logs and craft planks, sticks, crafting tables, and other essential items. It should also provide reasonable access to other basic survival necessities, such as food and materials for crafting essential tools.
These resources could be unique to The Sift, making its survival experience different from the Overworld while still allowing players to progress independently.
This feature would make Minecraft more replayable, give players more freedom, and create a completely new Survival challenge. Players could choose the classic Overworld experience or begin a new adventure in The Sift from day one.
I hope this idea will be considered for a future Minecraft update!
