Discuss Minecraft's Redstone systems, including automation, circuits, components, and technical gameplay. Share ideas and feedback on Redstone mechanics across Minecraft. Because Java Edition and Bedrock Edition use different Redstone systems, some behaviors will differ between versions. Please tag your posts with Java, Bedrock, or Both where applicable.
Extendable pistons are just normal pistons until you add piston stems, which is the middle part of the piston. They can bend/go diagonal and like barrier blocks, if you hold the piston stem, it is going to show the path of a piston.
The Extendable piston is crafted with the normal piston recipe, but there are no oak planks.
The Piston Stems are crafted with iron on bottom middle and centre, with 3 oak planks on the top row.
