I suggest adding a temperature system to Minecraft that makes exploring frozen caves more challenging and realistic.
1. Freezing: When players spend too much time in extremely cold areas, their body temperature gradually decreases. They begin moving more slowly and eventually take damage if they do not find warmth. Wearing warm clothing or standing near a fire helps prevent freezing.
2. Overheating: When players stay near fire for too long or enter extremely hot environments, their body temperature gradually increases. If it gets too high, they begin taking damage. Drinking water and moving away from heat sources help cool them down.
3. Temperature Indicators: Add a simple temperature indicator to the player's HUD. It should gradually change as the player gets colder or hotter, with visual effects that warn players before they start taking damage.
4. Survival Equipment: Introduce warm clothing or special armor that slows down temperature changes. Water bottles could help players cool down when overheating, while campfires and other heat sources could help them warm up.
5. Environmental Interaction: Temperature should react to the environment. Frozen caves should be dangerously cold, campfires should provide warmth, and nearby heat sources should gradually affect ice and icicles.
The temperature system should mainly affect extreme environments, such as frozen caves and very hot locations, rather than making ordinary exploration unnecessarily difficult.
