(I am going to be discussing the code scarcity problem on Twitch only in this post, due to character limit)
Deja Vu time. The same problem that occurred with the Builder's Cape is happening again with the Aurora Cape. Someone has run out of codes.
Now, I don't think this code scarcity problem would have occurred if 1) The amount of cape codes had been doubled or tripled after the first time this happened, or 2) There had been made available an in-game (either Java or Bedrock) way to obtain it.
To be honest, the second solution sounds better anyways, and we already know that it works quite reliably, at least based on my own personal experience. Regardless it makes more sense for there to be a creative option, considering that Minecraft is a creative game. I had a blast making some small builds to house the hundreds of copper golems I placed for the Copper Cape, I think having some directive similar to that, say for instance, collecting all the music discs or making something with noteblocks, would have worked very well, and would have leaned into part of what makes Minecraft so much fun.
But instead, there is now a creation of artificial scarcity, enabling scalpers and essentially scamming many, many people of their time due to the fact that the campaign is still running, but with no codes to fulfill it and no communication that there are no codes either. The only reason I found out about it, was after doing research when the cape wasn't even showing up in my Twitch inventory.
