Minecraft’s particle settings are all-or-nothing: All, Decreased, or Minimal. Players cannot remove one annoying particle while keeping the rest.
I propose two complementary solutions:
1. A per-particle toggle in Video Settings.
Add a list of particle types, each with Always / Reduced / Never. No commands needed.
2. An optional command for advanced control and servers:
/particle visibility
Why it matters:
· Builders can keep campfire smoke but disable distracting flames.
· Redstone players can turn off particles from complex contraptions to improve FPS without losing all effects.
· Players with visual sensitivities can hide specific flashing or fast-moving particles.
This follows Minecraft’s existing pattern: a global default plus precise command overrides, like gamerules and sound settings.
Purpose: Give players fine-grained control over which particles they see, not just a global switch.
Significance: Improves performance, accessibility, and creative freedom—while keeping a simple menu option for those who prefer no commands.
The global toggle solves “all or nothing.” This solves “keep what I want, remove what I don’t.” They are complementary, not redundant.
Please consider adding both the settings option and the command.
