Blur GUI background not only in menus

I love the blur that happens when you pause the game and open settings menus.  It would be amazing if it were to become a toggleable feature to have this in other UIs, ex. opening your inventory or using a crafting table.  I think a nice blur instead of the darkened background would greatly improve the game's feel.
