Jukebox chest automation doesn’t fit redstone (26.4 Snapshot 4)

In 26.4 Snapshot 4, jukeboxes can be automated by placing a chest above them.
This functionality doesn't fit into the game.
We already have a way of automating music discs using redstone contraptions that are fairly simple utilizing hoppers. I think the new functionality would discourage players from building and exploring redstone contraptions. 
The new functionality is also inconsistent with the redstone part/blocks we already have since now the new functionality is replacing the hopper.
Also, the new functionality adds a way too specific way of working a jukebox when there are better alternatives like a hopper based disc system that supports the exploration side of the game we all love.
