I think it would be a great addition if Minecraft introduced a built-in zoom feature, similar to what mods like Zoomify or other zoom mods offer.
Instead of requiring players to install a separate mod, this feature could be integrated directly into Minecraft and allow players to zoom in on distant objects, landscapes, structures, or other points of interest.
It would be really helpful for exploring the world, spotting details from a distance, and getting a closer look at builds without having to move closer to them.
Ideally, players could activate the zoom by holding a configurable key or button. It would also be useful to adjust the zoom level in the settings, allowing everyone to choose how far they want to zoom in.
Another nice addition would be smooth zooming, making the transition between normal view and zoomed-in view feel natural and comfortable.
I think this would be a useful quality-of-life improvement for both exploration and building, while also making it easier to observe details in the world.
The feature could be entirely optional and customizable, so players could decide whether they want to use it and configure it to their preferences.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!
