PLEASE ALLOW THE STORIES TO PROGESS!!

I recently started playing Minecraft dungeons with a fellow gamer, and we progressed up to the point of getting to the Prime Enchanter. However, he's been unable to play so now I am trying to progress my story and it is ridiculously difficult to defeat enemies in the first Sift ambush its pretty awful. I don't recommend playing with anyone if this is the result where the story can't go any further, despite skill its impossible to move forward. It's unplayable and makes it very frustrating to the point where I don't want to play.
