Dear Mojang Development Team,
I am writing this to suggest a much-needed accessibility feature for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, specifically for mobile (touch screen) players: An optional Aim Assist / Auto-Lock targeting system for PvE.
Currently, combat on touch screens without "Sweeping Edge" or proper combat cooldown is extremely frustrating. Mobile players have to continuously swipe to aim while using a virtual joystick to move and tap to attack. A tiny millisecond of misaiming causes missed hits, leading to unfair deaths even when players are fully geared.
Here is how this feature should work to maintain game balance:
1. Exclusive to Singleplayer / Local Worlds: Allow host players to toggle "Aim Assist" in World Settings (similar to Keep Inventory or Cheats).
2. PvE Only (Target Lock on Mobs): Within a ~10 block radius, the crosshair will lock onto the nearest hostile mob. Once defeated, it automatically snaps to the next closest target.
3. Complete Anti-PvP / Anti-Cheat Safeguard: Aim Assist will NEVER lock onto or damage other players. This completely eliminates the threat of this feature being abused as a PvP hack in multiplayer servers or Realms.
Mobile players want to play and enjoy survival mode cleanly without wrestling with touch controls. Adding an Aim Assist option for singleplayer survival will make Minecraft Bedrock far more accessible and enjoyable for millions of mobile gamers.
Thank you for listening to the community!
