Dear Mojang and Microsoft Team,
I am writing to formally request that Minecraft: Bedrock Edition be made available on macOS and Linux desktop platforms.
Currently, the Bedrock Edition is exclusive to Windows when it comes to desktop operating systems. This artificial restriction heavily fractures the player base. Mac and Linux users are completely locked out of native cross-play with their friends on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices, unless they rely on unofficial, unstable third-party launchers.
With the advent of Apple Silicon (M-series chips), the Mac ecosystem now runs on ARM architecture—the very same architecture that already natively runs Minecraft Bedrock on iOS and iPadOS. Restricting the iOS version from being downloaded on the Mac App Store is a commercial decision that hurts passionate players who just want to play together.
Minecraft has always been about breaking barriers and connecting people, regardless of their device. Ending Windows desktop exclusivity for the Bedrock Edition would unite the PC community and allow millions of Mac and Linux users to finally join the global cross-play ecosystem natively.
Thank you for your time and for listening to the community.
