Villager AI NEEDS to be improved

The villagers are so frustrating. They are, by all accounts, stupid. Their path finding is completely broken sometimes and they try to walk through walls like lobotomites, and they also link to beds that are 30 blocks away even though there's a fresh unlinked bed right next to them. Mojang, please, overhaul the villager ai. It needs to be worked on heavily because it is so terrible. I want to build my villagers custom homes and a beautiful protected city but it's incredibly frustrating.
