I would love to see biome-specific ore textures added to Minecraft!
Just like Stone and Deepslate have different ore variants, I think ores should have different surrounding rock textures depending on the biome or underground environment.
For example, Ice Caves could have frozen variants of Coal, Iron, Copper, Gold, Redstone, Lapis Lazuli, Diamond, and other existing ores. These blocks would have icy blue textures around the ore instead of normal stone or deepslate.
I also think frozen ores could have a thin layer of ice covering them, which players would need to break before mining the ore itself. Since ice is easier to break than stone, this would make mining in Ice Caves feel unique without making the ores themselves easier to obtain.
The same concept could be used for other environments, such as Badlands, and sulfur-caves with different surrounding rock textures.
The ores would keep their normal drops, rarity, and mining requirements. Only their appearance and surrounding blocks would change.
I think this would make underground exploration much more immersive and give every cave biome its own identity!
