While I’m so excited about icicles being added to Minecraft, I don’t love the model shape yet. The square base where the icicle connects to a block seems to limit the creative freedom of players. I believe the icicle would benefit from more closely mirroring the model of pointed dripstone and sulfur spikes.
If players like the larger border, the ice crystal provides this shape and they will be able to mix and match. Perhaps being able to stack icicles on ice crystals would be another solution. Thanks for all the new content this year, Mojang!
