I completely agree. I don't understand why it's possible to update with the physical disc on other platforms but not on the Nintendo Switch 2. It's completely unfair.

Почему я должен платить два раза полностью за одну игру. Если на диске от PS4 при переходе на PS5 такого нету. Там это бесплатно, так же как отдельная игра, но проверяет, есть ли диск. И не нужно платить дважды полную стоимость.

The treatment received from Microsoft regarding the failure to provide the update for the physical version is unfair. Please reconsider; a large number of people bought the physical version of Minecraft for the Switch, and they do not deserve to be discriminated against.

I hope they change their minds about the physical version! Doing this is unjustified. Physical versions MUST be eligible for the upgrade!!

It’s also disrespectful to switch owners, because playstation and xbox players were (and still are) able to upgrade to newer version for free regardless if it’s physical version of the game or digital. They could release is as an upgrade pack, but they choose not to. It’s just sad that the worst preforming version gets the worst treatment as well :/

Why not offer a paid upgrade pack for physical owners?

Nintendo Switch 2 already supports upgrade packs, and many games use this system to let players upgrade to an enhanced version by paying only a small additional fee instead of buying the entire game again.

Why can't Minecraft offer the same option to physical cartridge owners? If a free upgrade is not possible, Mojang and Microsoft could provide an affordable upgrade pack through the Nintendo eShop, allowing us to access the native Switch 2 edition without paying full price for a game we already own.

Physical players should not be penalized for choosing cartridges. We have already supported Minecraft by purchasing the game, and we deserve a fair and affordable path to the improved version.

Please consider offering an upgrade pack for physical owners. It would be a reasonable compromise that respects existing purchases and gives everyone a chance to enjoy Minecraft on Nintendo Switch 2.

The biggest problem is that the Nintendo eShop isn't and never recognized that you have any physical games, so I think that Nintendo has to make an update for the whole eShop, just for it to recognize physical media.

I own the physical card! The fact Digital users who bought it that way get the new one free is insane!!! Physical card users should get the SAME treatment! You can ugrade a disk on other platforms but not Nintendo ITS NOT FAIR!

EXACTLY! We already paid for the game and while my friends who got it digitally get the update for FREE,i have to BUY THE GAME AGAIN?! Do something logic for once Mojang! Don't hire Switch 2 players as beta-testers and then exclude them from the final product.
