Disabling shapshots in Installations should hide snapshots in add menu

Currently unchecking the "Snapshots" box in "VERSIONS" in Installations only hides snapshot installations (but does not hide snapshots in the "New Installation" menu) This is extremely annoying (and clearly a bug, but apparently when it was reported on jira it was rejected as "feedback") because it takes forever to find release versions. This used to not be the case, but its now apparently a "feature" to have to scroll through hundreds of versions to find the right version.

    I also have this bug and it is extremely annoying. I am trying to find Releases and I don't have Snapshots toggled, yet it's spammed all over "New Installation" and makes it impossible to find what you are looking for...

    Still not fixed and it's infuriating. Makes launcher borderline unusable. How the heck was this bug being reported rejected from jira as "feedback"???? >:(

    An absolute pain, especially when modded versions aren't organised neatly and end up not with their equivalent vanilla version, trying to find forge versions is near impossible for me right now.

    Please, add a way to hide snapshots scrolling through them is just a pain.

    Annoyingly this was a feature before the launcher update a few years ago - this got reported on Jira as "working as intended" - despite it clearly being worse behavior. I don't want to scroll through hundreds of snapshot versions just to find the one version I want to play - they should be toggleable.

    that checkbox is intended for the list of installations, not the version list in "Create new installation". However it definitely still needs an option to hide snapshots in the version list.

    funny how the Cracked/Pirated Minecraft launcher have a toggle-able box to hide the snapshots new installation while the Official Minecraft Launcher doesn't have any to do that. another one being better than the minecraft itself I guess?
