Pets having personalities

I think it would be beneficial for Minecraft pets to have personalities. For example, some cats could be lazy and tend to lay on beds more or not follow their owners around as much as other cats, or some dogs could run away from monsters rather than attack. I think it would be an interesting detail in pets that would make them more both more realistic and more admirable for fellow pet lovers!
