Allow Icicles to be placed on walls, sideways

I REALLY like the icicles floor texture, im not sure what to call it, and id love to use it for building but not necessarily use it for icicle purposes. Id really like the ability to place these on walls, just like you can place them on floors and ceilings, also, maybe a way to stop the icicles from growing, just to keep this part of the icicle?
