This feature connects pottery sherds, armor trims, and goat horns into an end-game ritual to awaken Ancient Spirits. To perform it, a player must wear a full set of armor with a trim assigned to a specific structure, place a Decorated Pot on a Chiseled Block, insert a Totem of Undying, and sound the corresponding Goat Horn. This awakens 3 to 7 Ancients who recognize you as their Leader. You can also establish a custom faction inside a large village.
Clicking a resident opens a simple UI to manage their status. Wandering Traders can be convinced to permanently join your colony. Residents can be assigned vanilla-friendly professions:
• Knights: Patrol borders and defend the colony.
• Farmers: Tend to crops and share food.
• Miners & Lumberjacks: Must travel to assigned resource zones to gather materials (without destroying world blocks) and physically bring them back to the colony.
• Builders: Repair damaged structures.
• Unique Roles: Every structure unlocks one exclusive profession.
The Fletching Table finally gets its functionality as the Tactical Command Table. Its UI allows players to issue colony-wide commands, define work zones, and monitor the Threat Level.
As your civilization prospers, the forces that destroyed it will awaken to siege your town. Rival factions can spawn, allowing tactical territory battles. Victory rewards you with a Powerful Ancient Artifact granting game-changing abilities.
