Remove air gap from slabs

Whenever you place a slab, you cannot place a block on top of it without a gap. ASCII example here 

<Block>
<Air>
<Slab>

This is incredibly annoying for builders, ice boat racers, and just anyone of the sort. 

Please Mojang, remove this air gap in a future update!
