Hi Minecraft Dungeons II team,
My family (my child, my wife, and me) plays couch co-op on one PS5, using offline heroes. We don't use online heroes because they require PlayStation Plus, which is an extra cost just to play together at home.
The problem
My child created Hero A as Player 1 on the console owner's account. My wife and I joined with extra controllers and created Hero B and Hero C. When I start the game alone on that account, I can only play as Hero A. Couch co-op heroes can't be selected as Player 1, so they can never be played solo.
In the first Minecraft Dungeons, we could create several heroes on one account and pick any of them from the start screen. That let me level up my own hero while my child was asleep.
Why it matters
Families rarely play at the same time. A game built for couch co-op should let each family member continue their own hero on a shared console, without extra subscriptions or online accounts.
Requests
- Let any offline hero on a console account be selected as Player 1, including heroes created as couch co-op guests.
- Or, at minimum, let us convert a couch co-op hero into a regular hero.
- Keep offline couch co-op free of subscription requirements for family members on the same console.
Thanks for making a great co-op game.
Platform: PS5 / Hero type: Offline
