Main Menu UI Disappears After Selecting "Save and Return to Main Menu"

Description:

I am experiencing a reproducible UI bug when returning to the main menu.

After selecting "Save and Return to Main Menu", all menu UI elements disappear, leaving only the animated background. The character and campfire continue moving, and all background music and sound effects continue playing normally. The game does not appear to have crashed or frozen.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch the game through Steam.
2. Enter a game session.
3. Select "Save and Return to Main Menu".
4. Wait for the transition to complete.

Actual Result:

All main menu UI elements disappear, while the background animations, music, and sound effects continue working.

Pressing Esc on the keyboard or B on a controller opens the "Exit to Desktop" confirmation dialog. Both Cancel and Confirm buttons work correctly, but the rest of the main menu remains invisible.

Expected Result:

The main menu should appear with all UI elements visible and functional.

Additional Information:

Restarting the game temporarily restores the menu. However, the issue consistently reappears after returning to the main menu from another game session.

I also tried pressing Alt + Enter to switch between fullscreen and windowed modes, but this did not resolve the issue.

Please investigate this recurring UI rendering or menu initialization bug.
