My second issue would be the new enchantment and bonus effect system, and this is specifically for weapons. Armor only having one slot is fine because we now have 4 armor pieces to work with.
I like that you can actually control what enchantments you put on your weapons through enchantment books, it's fun to find all the different enchantments that were created for this game specifically. What i don't like is reduction to 1 enchantment slot. Yes, you can choose your enchantment, but you only get one now, and your bonus effects, are randomized within a pool of effects for that item, if not just completely randomized. Not to mention that it feels like a lot of the built-in effects and (some) enchantments simply aren't all that good, and fall flat. Also, say i want healing and more damage on my weapon, i shouldn't have to only choose one over the other, as it limits players from being able to properly build up their ideal weapon. Again, i like the enchantment book system, but the limitations that come with it simply make some weapons feel lackluster to me.
A good idea might be to bringing back the old system in a way. For weapons, give them one bonus effect, and make it so that higher tiers means more enchantment slots: common gets one, rare gets two, special gets three, and uniques get three AND their unique bonus effect. This way, unique weapons actually feel meaningful to get, builds are fun and aren't as limited, and more incentive to look for higher tier weapons.
