Dear Minecraft Development Team,
I propose a new atmospheric exploration feature: an Abandoned Cartography Stand that spawns rarely across various surface biomes, offering players a unique, luck-based looting mechanic.
The Structure: Abandoned Stand
This small, weather-beaten wooden stand is covered in Cobwebs, giving it a forgotten, mysterious look. It spawns as a standalone structure in the wilderness, completely separate from villages.

The Loot Mechanics (Barrels)
Instead of a live Villager, the stand features old storage Barrels. These Barrels have a chance to contain rare, exclusive Exploration Maps leading to rare biomes (like Badlands or Volcanic Islands) and hidden structures. The spawn rates for maps per structure are dynamically balanced:

- 1 Map: 75% chance (Common)
- 2 Maps: 10% chance (Rare)
-
3 Maps: 1.5% chance (Extremely Lucky)
(Note: There is a remaining 13.5% chance the barrels contain standard explorer supplies instead of custom maps).
Value to Gameplay
This structure adds mystery to wilderness exploration and rewards players with a thrilling luck mechanic. It provides an immersive, in-game method to discover rare coordinates without relying on external seed viewers.
