When gulls spawn in they have a 1% chance of being a Lava Gull, 3% chance of being a Black-Billed Gull, 28% chance Red-Billed Gulls or a similar Chroicocephalid, 30% chance of being a Black Hooded/Headed gull, and 38% chance of being a Larus (Aka a seagull with a yellow beak). They also sound like their species too.
Gulls have a 25% chance of stealing/swooping in on your food, but if you ever get sick of it, just tame/breed them with some raw fish or baked potatoes! If you hit a gull, they have a 40% chance of dive-bombing you like a phantom; talk about karma!
Baby gulls will be fledglings rather than chicks or juveniles, a fledgling's colour is light brown, and they are about the size of the old baby chicken model.
Gulls do not drop any items when killed for conservationist promotingly reasons, but if you are detected to be surrounded by 50 blocks of an ocean labelled biome, they will only drop a bit of fish & feathers.
For a rare occurrence, gulls have a 10% chance of dropping feathers in a storm, and Lava Gulls have a 0.045% chance of spawning in the nether and/or on a lava lake with an extra of having fire resistance.
For warm oceans, Black Headed Gulls, Larus, & Lava Gulls spawn. For lukewarm, cold, & standard, Black Headed, Larus, Red & Black Billeds spawn. For Frozen or most-all deeps, Larus spawns. Any gull can spawn on a beach, but Larus are more common on stony & basic beaches, and Red-Billeds for Stoney shores.
Too long to talk eggs & nests sadly
Sincerely, Peskaroosh.
