Online character needs an option (even one way) to clone into offline

I get why characters needed to be separate, but losing access to the character on console once your PSplus or Xbox subscription is over is criminal, at least give us a one way out to move or clone that character into offline, even if that mean losing it in online, i'd rather do that instead of losing it because i don't want o can't afford to play plus for another year.
