I propose a "Chaos Crypts" endgame mode, inspired by run-based loot chambers, unlocked after beating the main campaign.
Core Loop: Players enter a randomized gauntlet of 5-7 rooms. Each run features a mix of:
- Combat Rooms: Waves of mobs with unique modifiers (e.g., "Enemies leave poison clouds").
- Trap/Puzzle Rooms: Redstone-based hazards, parkour, or lever puzzles.
- Elite/Mini-boss Rooms: Buffed classic enemies or new mini-bosses.
Progression & Scaling: The mode uses "Chaos Tiers" (1-100+). Higher tiers increase enemy health/damage and add challenging affixes, but also boost loot quality and reward "Echo Shards" (a new endgame currency).
The Loot Chamber: The final room guarantees high-tier (Unique/Legendary) loot. Players spend Echo Shards to reroll the offered items or target specific gear types (Melee, Ranged, Armor, Artifact), making farming intentional and rewarding.
Why this fits MC Dungeons 2: The original game’s endgame lacked a cohesive, engaging loop. This mode provides infinite replayability, encourages build experimentation, and perfectly leverages Minecraft’s iconic trap, redstone, and mob mechanics in a fresh, roguelite format. It gives players a compelling reason to keep diving into dungeons long after the credits roll.
Ofcourse this is just an idea you could change this around, but you may understand the core concept.
