The optimization of Minecraft Bedrock on mobile (Android/iOS) is severely broken. Despite mobile devices having powerful hardware today—easily capable of running heavy 3D titles like Genshin Impact smoothly—Bedrock Edition still suffers from terrible stutters, random freezes, and bizarre CPU power scaling issues (such as FPS dropping drastically when the render distance is lowered).
Unlike Java Edition, where the community can completely overhaul and fix performance using optimization mods like Sodium, Bedrock players are stuck with a closed Render Dragon engine and no official solutions from Mojang. It feels like the main focus is always on Marketplace content and cosmetic updates rather than fixing core game performance on mobile platforms.
We strongly urge Mojang and Microsoft to prioritize mobile engine optimization, fix the broken chunk-loading behavior, and give mobile players advanced performance settings so we can finally enjoy a stable gameplay experience without constant lag and frustration.
