I suggest that Mojang add a free official high-resolution Vanilla texture pack to the Minecraft Marketplace. The goal is to provide Minecraft’s original textures at a higher resolution while preserving their original look, identity, colors, shapes, and familiar geometric style.
Proposed resolution:
• Blocks: 64×64
• Items: 128×128
This should not be a redesign of Minecraft or a completely new art style. The textures should look like the original Minecraft textures, but cleaner, sharper, and more detailed. I am not suggesting a hand-drawn style, random details, or changes to the familiar shapes and designs.
In other words:
Original texture → Same design and identity → Higher resolution and cleaner details
Not:
Original texture → Complete redesign in a different style.
The current default texture pack should remain exactly as it is. This would be a separate and optional pack that players can enable if they want the classic Minecraft experience at a higher resolution.
Making it official and free on the Minecraft Marketplace would make it easy and safe for everyone to access, while allowing Mojang to keep it compatible with the game and update it when necessary.
The goal is simple: give players who love Minecraft’s classic design an official way to enjoy it at a higher resolution without changing the original experience.
I want Minecraft to remain Minecraft:
The same shapes, the same identity, the same spirit — but at a higher resolution.
