Recent updates to Bedrock Edition have drastically altered the game's visual balance. The color saturation across many blocks feels washed out, and the global ambient lighting has been brightened to an extreme level.
Even with the in-game Brightness set to 0%, caves and unlit areas remain completely visible without needing torches or light sources. Features that were previously part of "Fancy Graphics" seem to have bled into the basic lighting engine, removing the contrast, atmosphere, and survival challenge from cave exploration.
We request the developers to:
Restore Deep Darkness: Rebalance the minimum ambient light level so that unlit caves actually require torches, as survival gameplay intended.
Fix Color Saturation: Revert the washed-out block textures and restore the rich, vibrant colors of the classic palette.
Revert Basic Lighting: Provide an option for true classic/simple lighting without forced post-processing or artificial ambient light.
A bright, washed-out world removes the atmosphere from Minecraft. Please bring back true darkness and vibrant block colors!
