Suggestion:
Currently, if you own Minecraft Bedrock on iOS or Android, you have to pay $46 AUD to play the exact same Bedrock version on Windows because it is bundled with Java Edition.
Currently, if you own Minecraft Bedrock on iOS or Android, you have to pay $46 AUD to play the exact same Bedrock version on Windows because it is bundled with Java Edition.
I propose three solutions to make this fairer for players:
- Cross-Platform License Verification: Allow players to link and verify their Apple ID or Google Play purchases via their Microsoft Account to unlock the Windows Bedrock version.
- Standalone Microsoft Store Option: Let PC players buy only the Bedrock Edition on the Microsoft Store for a standalone price that matches mobile tiers (~$11–$12 AUD), rather than forcing the full bundle.
- Optional Content Bundles: Give buyers the choice to purchase a cheaper "game-only" version, or a slightly more expensive version that includes extra Minecoins and marketplace items, rather than forcing additional content on everyone.
