Sulfur powder for brewing

So you know how in igloos there's a brewing stand with a weakness potion? Well I already know that weakness is the only potion that can be made without nether wart, but how did you power the brewing stand?!? My solution turn sulfur spikes into a powder for a cheeper and less effective way to power brewing stands so people can make weakness potions before going to the nether. I just also like chemicals and I love how burnable sulfur is maybe even explosive.. cough cough.. fireworks cough cough...
