With Java Edition standardizing entity-based chunk loading via Ender Pearl stasis chambers, Bedrock Edition has a glaring gap to fill. Currently, Bedrock technical players are restricted to the /tickingarea command, which requires cheats and permanently disables achievements.
We request that Mojang implement Ender Pearl chunk-loading parity for Bedrock Edition as a survival-friendly World Option toggle (similar to "Fire Spreads" or "Immediate Respawn"). This allows players to use technical automation without sacrificing achievements.
Why this fits perfectly as a World Option:
* Protects Low-End Hardware: Because Bedrock runs on mobile devices and consoles, a world toggle lets players on weaker hardware opt out, while PC and dedicated server players can enable it freely.
* Enables True Survival Tech: Java players rely on pearl stasis chambers for long-distance transport and remote farm activation in pure survival. Bedrock players shouldn't need cheats just to keep key chunks loaded.
* Better Performance than Ticking Areas: Permanent /tickingarea setups continuously consume CPU cycles. In contrast, Ender Pearl loops dynamically load a small radius only while active, unloading when the pearl is retrieved to preserve server tick rates (TPS).
Please consider adding this toggle to Bedrock world settings so the technical community can thrive!
