The Problem: Right now, if you use a Golden Dandelion on a baby Happy Ghast (ghastling) to keep it a baby forever, you lose the ability to feed it Snowballs. The feeding interaction completely breaks because the game sees its growth as "paused." This is really disappointing for players who want to keep a pet baby ghastling but still want to interact, play, and feed them treats for fun.
The Suggestion: Mojang should change the mechanic so that even if a baby ghastling is age-locked by a Golden Dandelion, players can still feed them Snowballs! Instead of making them grow up, feeding a snowball to a dandelion-locked baby should: Emit happy heart particles or joyful ambient noises. Heal the baby ghastling if it has taken damage. consume the snowball from the player's inventory as a fun interactive "treat." This would let players keep their favorite pets as cute babies forever without taking away the best part of owning a pet—the ability to feed and play with them!
