Water issue

Everytime i go into the water, the sky above turns white and a weird blue hue, I can see the outline of things above but thats really it. I dont know if it's mean to look like that, but i cant see above when in the water. And, when there's a pocket of air, the same thing happens. I cant see out of water, its all white, so if i go into a waterfall, into a cave, mobs could attack me because i cant see them and hit me out of the waterfall 🤔
