Bedrock Dedicated Server should provide an official and secure way for server owners to use Marketplace add-ons they have legally purchased.
Currently, BDS cannot sign in to a Microsoft account or validate Marketplace ownership. Moving a local world to BDS may copy the pack UUID and version references, but the protected behavior and resource pack content remains unavailable to the dedicated server.
Please add a headless account-linking system for Ubuntu and Windows BDS, such as Microsoft device-code authentication. BDS could receive a revocable, server-scoped token, verify the server owner's Marketplace entitlements, and securely download or update add-ons whose creators permit dedicated-server use.
This system should preserve Marketplace encryption, creator licensing, and account security. Administrators should never need to extract encrypted files, share account passwords, or redistribute Marketplace content manually.
This would give legitimate private and community servers an officially supported way to use purchased Marketplace add-ons while protecting Marketplace creators.
