Hello Mojang Studios,
I would like to suggest a change to how the Keep Inventory setting works in Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
Currently, Keep Inventory is located under the Cheats section of the world settings. I understand why it might be grouped there, but I don't think Keep Inventory necessarily belongs under "Cheats."
For many players, Keep Inventory is simply a gameplay preference. It doesn't give the player items, change their abilities, or allow them to access commands. It mainly prevents players from losing their inventory when they die.
Because of this, I think there could be a better way to organize the setting. For example:
Rename the "Cheats" menu to something like "Extras" or "Gameplay Options", so settings such as Keep Inventory aren't automatically labeled as cheating.
Move Keep Inventory into the General or Advanced world settings instead.
Alternatively, keep the current Cheats menu but make Keep Inventory a separate gameplay option that doesn't count as enabling cheats.
I think this would make the setting feel more like a legitimate gameplay choice rather than something that labels the entire world as using cheats.
Minecraft has many different ways to play, and I think players should be able to choose whether they want the consequences of losing their inventory without having that choice categorized as cheating.
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion. I hope you will consider it for a future Bedrock Edition update.
Best regards, Minecraft Player
